For Halloween, Sophie decided she wanted to be a bear with a tutu! Challenge accepted. I told a lady at work what Sophie wanted to be and she said she had a ballet recital costume from one of her grand kids that would be perfect and it was! She was adorable! Now the irony in this costume is Sophie has the nickname at her daycare "The Bear". If you wake Sophie up from her nap, you have a bear on your hands! She is a nightmare. The best policy is to let her wake up on her own. So when she said she wanted to be a bear, I just laughed.
Halloween this year fell on a Wednesday and was celebrated in our town that night. Wednesday night at our house is church night. That is something that we have not compromised since Sophie has been born. We want to always put God first. I know it will get harder as she gets older, but we are setting this rule now so it will be there long term. So she would still have the trick or treat experience, we asked a few members of our church and a family friend if we could come to their house. It was just enough houses because she was getting grumpy at the end of the night. Here are some pictures of our fearless bear!

While we were at Maime and Haha's house Sophie saw two deer. They were yearlings and were not easily startled. A couple of times they took steps toward us. It was really neat and Sophie loved it.
Sophie chased them off and walked closer to them roaring like a bear. The deer just stopped and stared at her. They didn't run or seemed scared at all. It made for a pretty neat picture and an awesome memory.
Love this!

We had a good night and we felt so blessed that so many opened their homes and let us get some candy!
